Our work

Economic empowerment and youth leadership

Economic vulnerability sits at the root of many health and safety risks. We help young women and young people build skills, start businesses, join market networks and lead change as advocates, peer educators and change agents.

The challenge

Without stable income, choice becomes a luxury. Young women who sell sex or use drugs face violence, poor mental health and barriers to care, and are often shut out of markets by stigma and isolation.

Our approach

  • Skills plus start-up support, chosen by each participant to match local demand.
  • Mentorship and market networks, so businesses survive beyond training.
  • Systems that last: manuals, a coalition and a dedicated empowerment department.
