Safeguarding

Everyone who comes into contact with ORHI has the right to be safe and treated with dignity.

Last updated 4 October 2026

Our commitment

We do not tolerate abuse, exploitation, harassment or discrimination by anyone working for or with ORHI. This applies to staff, board members, volunteers, consultants and partners, in every programme and location.

How we protect people

  • Our written policies include safeguarding and the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).
  • A named safeguarding focal person, accountable to the Executive Director, receives and handles concerns.
  • Everyone who works with us signs a code of conduct and receives safeguarding training.
  • We never publish the name, face or identifying details of a beneficiary without their written, informed consent.
  • Stories are anonymised by default, and every story involving beneficiaries is reviewed by safeguarding before it is published.
  • We never publish the location or time of safe spaces, drop-in centres or outreach sessions.
  • Location data is removed from every photo uploaded to this website.

Raise a concern

If you are worried about the behaviour of anyone connected with ORHI, or about the safety of someone we work with, tell us. You can stay anonymous. Use our confidential form, call +234 803 193 5437, or email info@oliverightng.com marked “Safeguarding”.

We take every concern seriously, protect the person who raised it, and report to funders and authorities where required.

The full safeguarding policy is available on request.
