In December 2025, Olive Rights to Health Initiative (ORHI) and Beam Community Development 360 Initiative (BCD360) completed the second round of our art therapy sessions in Nasarawa State, welcoming another 30 young women and girls. The sessions are part of our FEF-OSC 2025 project, funded by the Embassy of France in Nigeria, which supports young women’s economic empowerment and access to health services.
Through guided creative exercises, participants explored their emotions, shared their stories and found new ways to cope with stress, stigma and everyday pressures. The session offered a safe and expressive space, and working with colour and shape helped participants open up, relax and find a sense of calm and renewed confidence.
We are committed to making sure that young women, especially those who are often overlooked, have access to mental health support that restores dignity and hope. With two groups now complete, the sessions continue towards our aim of reaching 150 young women across the state.
