In August 2024, Olive Rights to Health Initiative (ORHI) took part in an intensive training programme on mental health for healthcare providers. Mental health is an essential part of overall well-being, including for the key populations and other marginalised groups we serve.

The training gave our team further knowledge and skills to support people facing mental health challenges, so that everyone receives compassionate and comprehensive care.

We also took part in a focus group discussion and strategic planning session on mental health. It brought together healthcare providers and key stakeholders to discuss new approaches to improving mental health services in our communities, and to refine strategies so that care is available, accessible and equitable.

We will use what we learned to help reduce the stigma around mental health and to advocate for accessible, quality mental health services for all.
