Marking World AIDS Day 2023 with an awareness walk and talk
For World AIDS Day 2023, we held an awareness walk and talk on the role of communities in ending AIDS by 2030 and on breaking HIV stigma.

For World AIDS Day in December 2023, Olive Rights to Health Initiative (ORHI) held an awareness walk and talk. The day's theme focused on communities and their part in ending AIDS by 2030.
The programme included:
- a morning prayer
- opening remarks
- a talk on HIV and AIDS
- a moment of silence
- a commemorative walk
- closing statements
Through the walk and talk, we set out to break the stigma around HIV and promote understanding, so that no one faces HIV alone.
We thank everyone who joined us and supported the day. We will keep raising awareness and working with communities towards a future without AIDS.
