In December 2025, Olive Rights to Health Initiative (ORHI) joined other implementing partners at the FEF-OSC Programme Dissemination Day. As part of the 2025 FEF-OSC cohort, we were one of 21 civil society organisations from 16 states, alongside representatives of government institutions, the private sector, development partners and the diplomatic community.

The event presented results from across the programme and showed how collaboration and community-driven leadership are making a difference in Nigeria. Our own work under the FEF-OSC 2025 project, “Promoting Economic Empowerment and Access to Health Services by Young Female Sex Workers and Females Who Use Drugs”, funded by the Embassy of France in Nigeria and delivered with Beam Community Development 360 Initiative (BCD360) has shown that when the women and girls who are most excluded gain skills, knowledge and supportive networks, whole communities benefit.

We were honoured that stakeholders from Nasarawa State attended, including:

  • Dr Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development
  • Allu Justina Alkali, Ministry of Justice, Nasarawa State
  • representatives of ministries, departments and agencies, as well as facilitators, creatives and community partners

We thank the Embassy of France in Nigeria for its commitment to strengthening civil society. We remain committed to gender equality, economic empowerment, access to mental health support and the rights of women and girls in our communities.
