In May 2024, Olive Rights to Health Initiative (ORHI) held sensitisation sessions on gender-based violence (GBV) for community members and caregivers.

The sessions covered three practical questions:

  • how to recognise the signs of GBV
  • when to report it
  • who to report it to

Caregivers and community members are often best placed to notice when something is wrong. Knowing how to respond helps build a support system around survivors and helps hold perpetrators to account.

The sessions are part of our wider work to break the silence around GBV and build safer, more caring communities.
