In December 2025, Olive Rights to Health Initiative (ORHI) took part in the third capacity-building workshop of the FEF-OSC programme, hosted by the Embassy of France in Nigeria. Over three days, we learned alongside 21 civil society organisations working across 16 states in Nigeria.

The workshop was delivered with partners, especially Cognito, and covered:

  • organisational development
  • financial management
  • strategic communication
  • research and advocacy
  • leadership for local impact

The workshop recorded a learning retention score of 92%, reflecting the commitment and engagement of participants.

We took part as an implementing partner of the FEF-OSC 2025 project, “Promoting Economic Empowerment and Access to Health Services by Young Female Sex Workers and Females Who Use Drugs”, funded by the Embassy of France in Nigeria and delivered with Beam Community Development 360 Initiative (BCD360). The workshop was a chance to strengthen our own systems and to learn from other organisations working for gender equality, strong institutions and locally led development. We thank the Embassy of France, Cognito and all the participating organisations for their energy and ideas.
