In July 2025, Olive Rights to Health Initiative (ORHI) paid an advocacy visit to the Nasarawa State Chapter of NSWA. The visit was part of the FEF-OSC 2025 project, “Promoting Economic Empowerment and Access to Health Services by Young Female Sex Workers and Females Who Use Drugs”, funded by the Embassy of France in Nigeria and delivered with Beam Community Development 360 Initiative (BCD360).

The conversation focused on:

  • strengthening the voices of female sex workers in decision-making
  • building trust through peer-led service delivery
  • co-creating solutions for health access, economic independence and reducing stigma
  • supporting young women to take charge of their futures

Working closely with community-led organisations is central to the project. Real change happens with the community, not for it.
