In July 2025, Olive Rights to Health Initiative (ORHI) paid an advocacy visit to the Nasarawa State Ministry of Health. The visit was part of the FEF-OSC 2025 project, “Promoting Economic Empowerment and Access to Health Services by Young Female Sex Workers and Females Who Use Drugs”, funded by the Embassy of France in Nigeria and delivered with Beam Community Development 360 Initiative (BCD360).
We engaged the Ministry on:
- expanding access to HIV and mental health services
- building referral pathways free of stigma
- training health workers on rights-based, inclusive care
- bringing vulnerable young women into state-supported health systems
We thank the Ministry for its openness to collaboration and its commitment to leaving no one behind in the health response. Working with government is central to our efforts to make health services inclusive for young women in Nasarawa State.
